Amarone Wine Experience at Montresor Winery
Description
Immerse yourself in over a century of winemaking heritage at the Montresor Winery, nestled just four kilometers from Verona’s iconic Arena. Since 1892, the Montresor family has crafted a distinct Valpolicella identity—where age-old tradition meets cutting-edge innovation.
Your journey begins in an interactive Wine Museum, guided by a virtual “farmer” who brings to life the evolution of grape-to-bottle techniques, from rustic wooden tools to gleaming stainless-steel vats.
As you wander through themed galleries, you’ll explore the unique terroir of Valpolicella, discover the story behind our signature frosted bottle, and sharpen your senses in a playful aroma room designed to reveal the scents of Corvina, Corvinone, Oseleta, Molinara and Rondinella grapes.
Next, step into the heart of the working winery to witness every stage of our vinification process—from the harvest and fermentation to the aging cellars and bottling line—before settling in for an expertly guided tasting. You’ll begin with the bright, fresh Capitel de la Crosara Valpolicella, followed by the modern, fruit-forward Urban IGT Veronese Rosso. Deeper complexity awaits in the Castelliere delle Guaite Valpolicella Superiore, before you experience the bold, velvety richness of our flagship Fondatore Amarone. Finally, the lusciously sweet “Teodorico” Recioto della Valpolicella offers the perfect, indulgent finale.
Whether you’re a seasoned oenophile or exploring fine wine for the first time, this Montresor experience reveals the soul of Valpolicella—its land, its history and its passion—inviting you to taste, learn and celebrate alongside the family that has perfected this craft for five generations.
